Is This Magic?!

To be honest, the more Lin You looked, the more suitable she seemed.

But he still had one question to ask this girl.

When Xiao Chun was called over by her boyfriend, she was a bit confused.

“What’s up?”

“I’m still short a graphic designer, and your boyfriend recommended you. I checked out your previous work and thought it was excellent, so I wanted to ask about your interest.” Lin You got straight to the point.

Xiao Chun looked at the two of them in surprise. She hadn’t expected to have the chance to pick up work again.

But she answered Lin You almost without hesitation: “I’m in! In fact, I’m really looking forward to joining your studio, and I’m completely confident I can handle the job!”

“I want you to understand one thing,” Lin You didn’t immediately agree but instead spoke seriously to Xiao Chun.

“I’m roughly aware of your physical condition, and this isn’t an easy job. While I fully believe you have the ability and the willingness, I still need to make it clear upfront: this will take up a lot of your time.”

“No problem at all. I have way too much free time right now—I don’t even know what to do with it.” Xiao Chun waved it off casually.

Lin You had to be even more direct: “I don’t want to say this, but your health is deteriorating, isn’t it? Have you considered traveling while you still can, seeing the world? If you choose to start working again, this opportunity… might not come again.”

Just saying these words made Lin You feel the atmosphere grow heavy.

But to his surprise, the girl in front of him simply smiled breezily.

“We’ve already been to plenty of places, seen enough beautiful sights.

I think the meaning of travel is to make you realize, time and again, that all the beautiful things can’t be taken with you—so you learn to accept all the regrets in life.

Right now, I don’t have any regrets left. If I had to name one, it would be that I can’t stay with him for longer. And one day, I’ll inevitably leave him behind.”

As she spoke, her eyes reddened, and Qin Songyun had already turned his head away, tears streaming down his face.

“Spending more time with him is what makes me happiest. And creating more memories together, leaving more traces in this world—for me, there’s nothing better than that. The only thing that saddens me is thinking about him being alone in the future, grieving over what we left behind. It breaks my heart.”

She gently placed a hand over her chest, her tone carrying a firmness that moved Lin You deeply: “But even so, I still want to walk forward with him—as far as we can go.”

Truly admirable—Lin You couldn’t help but think.

“Then it’s settled!” Lin You stopped beating around the bush. “It’s an honor to work with both of you.”

He shook their hands one by one with utmost sincerity.

Such steadfast love really made this single dog want to fall in love too!

“The honor is ours. Thank you!”

Just like that, he had both a planner and a graphic designer! Lin You was very satisfied.

Hiring a planner and getting a graphic designer for free—who knew such a good deal actually existed! Once the equipment launch was done, *Assassin Alliance* could pretty much get started.

“Alright, let’s wrap up the serious talk for now. No need to rush into work—we’ll sort it out after I finish registering. You two go ahead and enjoy yourselves!”

Lin You waved at them and prepared to leave.

“Wait a second.” Qin Songyun stopped him.

“What’s up?”

“You should check the internet. Players and the media are practically in an uproar. Seems like a lot of people have set up tents outside your old place.”

“Huh?” Lin You was shocked. “What’s going on? Hold on.”

Completely baffled, he contacted Xiaomeng and asked her to push the relevant updates to him.

Xiaomeng immediately sent him the filtered content—ever since moving to the new place with more computing power to spare, she’d been obsessively browsing social media like a true internet addict.

Lin You checked the content Xiaomeng sent and found it fell into two main categories.

One was players expressing their desperate desire to play the virtual reality game in every possible way.

“Day two without the new game. Life is meaningless.”

“Where’s the hardware? The game? The trailer? The genre? Hell, even the *name*?!”

“Even a fake promise comes with a name! You won’t even give us that?!”

“@LinYou I don’t care, I’m camping outside your place right now. Say *something*! Or I’m not leaving!”

The enthusiasm of netizens made Lin You’s heart race. Thank goodness he’d moved out that night—what a wise decision!

These were still the normal ones, just eager to play the game. Probably what Qin Songyun was talking about.

But the other group Xiaomeng found was stranger. Several media outlets were stirring up drama about him, claiming Lin You had maliciously mocked the press, lacked professionalism, and disrespected the public’s right to know.

Not many people were paying attention yet, but judging by the sudden influx of paid trolls in the comments, someone seemed to be targeting him—Xiaomeng had caught it early.

Lin You temporarily blocked sound transmission around himself and asked Xiaomeng:

“Xiaomeng, what’s going on here?” Lin You was utterly confused. *I mocked them?* Since when?”

“Master posted the recruitment notice with an email address. Many media outlets sent interview requests, but some were on the blacklist, so Xiaomeng rejected them.”

“How did you reject them?”

“‘Sorry, but since you take dirty money, lack integrity, ignore the truth, and have abysmal professionalism, you don’t qualify as media. We won’t accept interviews from you. Please reflect on your behavior!’” Xiaomeng recited her reply with perfect imitation.

…What could Lin You even say to that?

“Xiaomeng, well done!”

“Hehe!” Xiaomeng beamed at the praise.

“Let’s kill two birds with one stone.” With that, Lin You started drafting a Lingxi post.

Two things:

1. Game title: *Journey*.

Development is complete, and final testing is underway. The hardware is also ready for production and will be available soon—no need to rush.

Additionally, before the hardware launch, I’ve prepared a little surprise for everyone. Stay tuned.

PS: To those camping outside, please go home. I don’t live there anymore.

2. Publishing a blacklist of disreputable media outlets.

The following 18 outlets have repeatedly spread false news, misled public values, and lacked basic professional ethics.

Our studio has determined they do not qualify as legitimate media and has blacklisted them. We will not accept any form of interview from them nor allow them at any of our events.

Joke’s on them—accusing me of disrespecting the media? I’ll just revoke their media credentials!

This move was called—*the best defense is a good offense!*

After handling this, Lin You lifted the sound barrier and said casually to Qin Songyun, “Done. Problem solved.”

“Solved? Just like that?” Qin Songyun was baffled.

All he saw was Lin You tapping on the control panel, then suddenly going silent—mouth moving but no sound coming out.

Even though they were barely a meter apart, everything was normal on his end, but Lin You’s side was completely muted!

Then Lin You just tapped away on the panel again, and—

*That’s it? Problem solved???*

Qin Songyun had a million complaints bubbling up inside:

*Is this really technology? This is straight-up magic!*
